Detailed Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Lanquín & Grutas de Rey Marcos

• 5:00 AM: Depart from your location in Antigua via private transport for Lanquín, Alta Verapaz.
• 1:00 PM (Approx.): Arrive in the Lanquín region. Transfer to Hotel Guayaha for check-in and room setup.
• 2:30 PM: After a brief rest and a light lunch (not included), head to the Grutas de Rey Marcos. Your guide will accompany you on a tour through the impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations.
• 5:30 PM: Return to the hotel. Free evening to rest and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 2: Semuc Champey & K’amba Caves

• 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
• 9:00 AM: A 4×4 vehicle will pick you up to begin the day’s adventure. Travel to the Semuc Champey Natural Monument.
• 10:00 AM: Start the tour at Semuc Champey. You will hike to the lookout point to admire the panoramic view of the turquoise pools. Afterward, you’ll have time to swim and relax in the natural pools.
• 1:00 PM: Lunch (not included) in the Semuc Champey area.
• 2:00 PM: Transfer to the nearby K’amba Caves. With your guide, you’ll explore the caves by candlelight, experiencing the darkness, humidity, and swimming through water-filled formations.
• 5:00 PM: Return to Hotel Guayaha. Free evening for dinner (not included) and relaxation.

Day 3: Ranchitos del Quetzal & Return to Antigua

• 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
• 9:00 AM: Depart via private transport for the “Ranchitos del Quetzal” nature reserve, a cloud forest sanctuary.
• 10:30 AM: Begin a guided hike along the reserve’s trails. Your guide will help you identify birds and give you the best chance to spot the Quetzal in its natural habitat.
• 1:00 PM: The Quetzal tour concludes. Have a quick lunch (not included) before starting the journey.
• 2:00 PM (Approx.): Begin the return trip to Antigua.
• 10:00 PM (Approx.): Arrive in Antigua and end of services.
